U Bar-A Family Business  -  Alberta, Canada Horseback Riding

U Bar Ranch is proudly family owned and operated. Ray and Brenda Landry followed their long time dream of living the Rockies, when they founded U Bar Trail Rides in 1995. Ray is a certified farrier and Brenda educated in Biological /Environmental Sciences.

Together they built U Bar Trail Rides to what it is today, as they raised their children Joey Lee and Rory. 

The Landry's will be your hosts as you discover that there is no better way to explore the Canadian Rockies than on horseback. They are committed the outfitting way of life, and would like to share the Rocky Mountains with you as you breathe in the fragrant air, gaze at the mountain panoramas, and enjoy your Alberta, Canada horseback adventure.   

The Landry’s and their hired hands all possess First Aid/CPR training and are licensed and insured members of the Alberta Outfitters Association. 

Our Commitment to the Environment (1999)

It is only in the wilderness that ecosystems exist relatively unaffected by human activity, and where healthy populations of many great animals still survive. As visitors to the Willmore Wilderness Park, we can view the land, the water and animals in much the same manner as the first travelers to the area did some 5,000 - 10,000 years ago. As stewards we all have an obligation to ensure this piece of wilderness continues to remain healthy and wild and to be a sanctuary for the mind and soul of many more generations to come. 

As a tourism operator, U Bar commits to operating in a manner which will minimize the impact of our passing.
