Pack Trips

We offer 2 to 14 day pack trips. You will arrive at the staging area where a pack train and saddle horses await you. Once your personal affects have been packed, your saddle properly fitted for your comfort, and your lunch loaded into your saddle bags, you are off! Your guide will lead you down mountain trails, winding through forested surroundings, intersected by picturesque creek crossings. The trail offers a relaxing ride for both experienced and inexperienced riders.

Our trips are run in the same traditional manner that local outfitters have been following for over a hundred years. For those mountain air appetites, hearty home-cooked meals will be prepared in our well-equipped kitchen tents or over the open fire. Included is Alberta Steak, bacon & eggs, home-made soups & stews to name a few. Vegetarian options are also available. If you have any particular likes or dislikes, please let us know and we'll make adjustments. Good conversation, marshmallows, and a cup of hot coffee can be enjoyed alongside the crackling fire.

Whenever you are ready you can retire to your comfortable tent. Sleep is never better than in the purest of air, with the only night sounds being the occasional hooting of an owl, the howl of a coyote, or the jingling of the horse bells.

The ride into base camp is typically 2 ½ to 3 hours long. Once you arrive in base camp you can decide the number of hours you would like to ride each day. You can ride all day long on one of our day rides up a nearby mountain, take one of our shorter rides exploring the area in which we are camped in, go fishing in the nearby river, or go for a hike and take the time to explore the area yourself. If you would prefer, you can just soak up the peace and quiet as you lounge around camp and have time to yourself.
